Best view of the Eiffel Tower to take photos

Everyone heading to Paris is looking to view the Eiffel Tower. Heading through the crowds of people to try and catch a glimpse of the iconic landmark can be tricky. We have narrowed down some of the best locations in Paris to see the Eiffel Tower and the best locations to take photos to get the perfect shot without the crowds.

The Eiffel Tower s an iron structure in the Champ de Mars in Paris. It’s 324 meters high to the tip and can be seen at many locations throughout Paris. It was originally constructed to show that France’s industrial power and to commemorate the French Revolution. It is such a huge part of France’s tourism that you will surely want to see the Eiffel Tower and potentially even go up inside in.

You can purchase tickets to go up inside the Eiffel Tower both by foot on the steps and via the lifts. The steps can be hard work as you make your way to the peak, whilst the lifts can also have long lines if you do not get there early enough. From the top of the Eiffel Tower you will see the while of Paris beneath you. Purchase a glass of champagne at the top to celebrate this experience and take in the view.

Best places to see and take photos of the Eiffel Tower

Bridges along the quay

Most of the bridges along the quay make for the perfect place to view the Eiffel Tower. You can sit on the bridge and marvel in the Eiffel Tower’s beauty or take the steps to below the bridge to sit along the river’s edge and see the tower.

Our favourite is the Alexander III bridge. The bridge is impressive in itself and loaded with gold decorations and statues all the way down and across. Walk underneath the bridge to really catch the beauty.  

Avenue de Camoens

Avenue de Camoens is slightly out of the way and offers a non crowded lesser known view of the Eiffel Tower. Hop onto the top of the wall, lean against the lamp post and view this awesome view of the Eiffel Tower.

Avenue de Camoens is just a short distance walk from the Trocadero and well worth the walk to see this viewing point without the crowds. 

The Trocadero steps

The Trocadero can become crowded at time, but it still offers an exceptional view of the Eiffel Tower which is not to be missed. The Trocadero Garden’s are beautiful in their own right filed with fountains that showcase the beauty of Paris. Sit on the wall and gaze ahead to the fountains and the Eiffel Tower for the perfect shot and view.

  

Carrousel de la Tour Eiffel

For the ultimate fun way to view the Eiffel Tower hop onto the Carrousel de la Tour Eiffel to see the Eiffel Tower as you rotate round. This option is perfect for the big kid in you or families wanting to see the Eiffel Tower.

Each time you rotate and catch a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower it’s magical.

The grass in front of the Eiffel Tower

Grabbing a blanket with some wine and fresh baguette and taking a seat on the grass in front of the Eiffel Tower is one of our favourite ways to view the Eiffel Tower.

Sit down with your drinks and wait for the Eiffel Tower to sparkle for the ultimate experience.

  

Quay of the Tuileries

All the way along the Quay the Eiffel Tower can be seen. As you walk along the quay you can watch as the sunsets and the Eiffel Tower begins to sparkle.
