During the winter months several ice rinks pop up all over London and are the perfect Christmassy wintry day out in the capital.
World famous attractions welcome the frozen ice rinks and you have the opportunity to skate underneath icons such as the Tower of London and the Natural History Museum.

Natural history museum
The outside of the Natural History Museum a large ice rink takes center stage underneath a huge lit up Christmas tree at the centre of the rink. Ideal for children and adults alike as the rink offers small plastic penguins for learning children.
Tower of London
The iconic Tower of London houses a huge ice rink each Christmas underneath the torrents of the tower. Feel like you are stepping back in English history with the ice rink. This is as close as you will get to the outskirts of the tower and you skate along with projections of snowflakes across the rink.
Skylight Roof Top
On top of East London’s iconic Tobacco Dock is the skylight winter rooftop. Head up there for a smaller ice rink with views of the London skyline as well as igloo’s, huts and a fully stocked bar!
Winter Wonderland
London’s biggest Christmas extravaganza Winter Wonderland is of course home to an almighty ice rink. Once you are finished on the ice there is also an ice museum and bar you can explore! Not to mention the Christmas market, fairground rides and bars and street food stalls.

This huge former palace houses one of the largest ice rinks in London. The lit up rink and the palace in the background make for a festive treat. This is the furthest from the capital and way less crowded!
