London’s best Christmas lights

The London Christmas lights have begun to switch on one at a time across the capital and have created sparkle right across London. The capital is lit up with new and old Christmas lights alike in some of the capitals most iconic locations.

Spending the Christmas evenings in the city underneath the various lights is absolutely magical and a cosy way to explore the city.

Bond Street

This luxurious street in London sure has lights that showcase luxury. Feather and in particular peacock feather lights hang and drape themselves over the street.

Kew Gardens

This huge green house has certainly taken on board the Christmas spirit as the building and even some of the plants and green spaces have a wonderful light display. Illuminations will have you marveling in awe and wonder this time of year!

Royal Exchange

Head to the Royal Exchange to see the lights and gigantic Christmas tree put on by the department store Fortnum and Mason.

Trafalgar Square

You will be in awe by the huge Christmas tree donated by Norway as a gift to the UK as it covered in silver sparkly lights to really brighten up Trafalgar Square and bring some festive cheer.

Seven Dials

Well worth a visit just to support the homeless charity that Seven Dials has partnership with this year. The star themed light up is to represent the capitals homeless population and tap points are available throughout the street to allow you to donate £3 to the homeless charity this Christmas.

Oxford Street

The Christmas lights in London’s Oxford Street have had a complete make over this year and brank new lights and decorations are being hung for the first time in 6 years!

Huge LED block lights are draped across the street really light up the whole area.

Regent Street

Beautiful golden angels light up this iconic shopping street in London and parts of the street are now a pedestrian only zone allowing you the opportunity to really stand and appreciate the lights.

Wave at Eccleston Yards

Step into Eccleston Yards this year and be awed by the 500 individual lights that shine in a multi-coloured wonderfulness above your head giving off a space vibe intended by the designer.

Carnaby Street

Some of the most colourful and unique lights in the city will be found at Carnaby Street. The lights this year are a charity project and in collaboration with an ocean charity to support the underwater world. The lights and décor reflect this as you ill see huge sea creatures from an underwater world.

Covent Garden

The decorations remain the same this year, however you will never not be impressed by the huge reindeer sculptures and giant Christmas tree sporting over 30,000 lights to bring sparkle to this iconic corner of London.

Harrods

This iconic luxury department store is lit up for the winter months and warm bright lights shine from Harrods London.

Hatton Garden

This famous luxury jewellery area has lights that shine bright like diamonds in the darker winter months. Giant bauble lights are there to be marvelled at.
