Top itinerary for 7 days in Las Vegas

Everyone heads to Las Vegas to see the magic of the lights from the strip and breathe in the party atmosphere, however Las Vegas has so much more to offer than just partying and gambling. Whilst we definitely recommend partying the day and night away at some point we also recommend exploring some of Las Vegas and Nevada’s best natural attractions and thrill seekers experiences.

We spent 1 week in Las Vegas and it was the perfect amount of time to see the main thrills and attractions and tick the main attractions off of our list. If you do not have the luxury of a week you can pick the main items from our itinerary you like to make your own smaller itinerary.

1 Week Las Vegas Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in Las Vegas and hit the strip.

Take in the sights of the world famous strip in the daylight. Head to the Venetian for an Italian lunch on the waters edge. Browse the amazing hotel and take a ride down the canal on a gondola. Make believe you are in Venice in the middle of Las Vegas.

Hop across the road to The Forum shops at Caesars Palace. Take in the views from the ultimate ceiling architecture to the fountains and statues. Browse the high street and luxury shops for the remainder of the afternoon.

On the way back to the hotel head down to the strip to watch the fountain show at the Bellagio that shows every 30 minutes from 3:00-8:00pm.

Lastly head to the Cosmopolitan for the evening for dinner at STK and ease the night away in the Casino on the Cosmopolitan hotels bottom floor. This glitzy casino as something for everyone from the 1 dollar better to the high rollers looking to splash the cash. The friendly bar tenders will continue to supply you with drinks as long as you tip of course. Hours can be spent at the tables or on the machines.

Day 2

Head for brunch at the wicked spoon buffet in the Cosmopolitan hotel. Fill yourself up on the variety of cuisines and desserts on offer to prepare yourself for the day.

Be early as you head out to Wet Republic pool party at the MGM Grand hotel. Grab a bucket of beers from the bar and hop into the pool as you dance the day away to electronic music.

After the pool party head back to the hotel to freshen up before heading for dinner and back to the MGM Grand hotel to visit Hakkasan nightclub to dance the night away.

Day 3

Spend the day relaxing by the pool overlooking the sights of the Las Vegas strip. The pool at the Cosmopolitan offers excellent views over the strip and of the Eiffel Tower of Paris hotel.

Dine pool side for lunch with a cocktail or two around the pool.

Enjoy a sunset session at Marque pool at the Cosmopolitan hotel. Grab yourself another bucket of beers or a cocktail to chill out amongst like minded travellers as the sun sets over Las Vegas. Loungers are on offer to all, for those who wish to they can purchased tables and cabanas for ultimate luxury.

Continue the night after freshening up at Marque nightclub at the Cosmopolitan hotel.

Day 4

Head out early and rent a car (we chose a Ford Mustang) to have the experience of an American road trip. Set out on the open road to explore some of the best spots in Nevada.

Head first to the Las Vegas sign and queue with the line of people to get your perfect shot in front of the Las Vegas sign. Arrive as early as possible to beat the queue.

Head 20 minutes down route 15 to Seven Magic Mountains. Take in the views of these artistic stones as you explore the Nevada desert and get a truly artistic experience. The seven magic mountains were constructed by an artist looking to reflect the presence of man kind in the Nevada desert.

Then head 30 minutes north to reach Red Rock Canyon. Take the scenic route in the car and stop off at each view point along the way and enjoy small walking trails and hikes as you go. Hot springs can also be found at certain stops. Several types of flora and fauna can be found on the hiking trails. The red rock sand stone is real site in the hot sun.

Return the car before heading towards The Stratosphere for the evening. Head up to the top for dinner at the Top of the World restaurant. Enjoy fine dining in the rotating restaurant as the sun sets over Las Vegas. See the full 360 degree view of the city from up there.

After dinner become a thrill seeker as you explore the sky jump. Jump off of the top floor of the Stratosphere a whooping 829 feet with speeds as fast at 40mph. if you re seeking further thrills head to the roof to sample the Stratosphere thrill rides – Big shot, Insanity and X-scream. Finish the night off with some drinks at the top of the world bar.

Day 5

head to The Pantry at the Mirage hotel for a hearty breakfast before setting off to Encore for a weekend pool party. This 6 star hotel sure knows how to throw a party as party goers dance under the sun. World class DJ’s grace the DJ booth as you dance on the stage and in the pool.

Head back in the evening to the Encore nightclub for late night clubbing at it’s finest. Be sure to adhere to the dress code in their ultimate luxury nightclub. Encore pool party one way one world

Day 6

Start the day off by heading to the Las Vegas Premium Outlets located on the outskirts of the strip. Explore these luxury brands as you search for a bargain in this outdoor shopping mall.

Early evening head down to Fremont Street.

Explore the Neon Museum as you search for old signs that transport you back to Las Vegas years ago. See the signs from old casino’s, hotels and businesses which can still be seen in all their glory.

Marvel at old Las Vegas and do the zip line at sunset. As the sun sets over old Las Vegas take in the lights as you choose to zip from either the 8th or 11th story. lay flat like superman if your a true thrill seeker or sit upright to slow the journey and enjoy the views.

Enjoy dinner at an old diner in Freemont street as you eat a cheese burger with a shake. Then explore the casino’s and amusements and step back in Las Vegas time.  Neon museum Las Vegas one way one world

Day 7

Head for an all American breakfast at New York New York, before heading to sample one of the oldest roller coasters in America on the big apple roller coaster.

Take a while to explore some of the surrounding hotels and their themes such as the Egyptian Luxor and Castle Exchalibar.

Get picked up from your hotel and transported by limousine to the airport where you will take off on your helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon at sunset. Fly over Hoover Dam and Lake Mead before landing on the Grand Canyon for a Champagne picnic. Take in the natural beauty of this natural wonder of the world before heading back to see sunset from the helicopter. As you prepare to land take in the lights of the Las Vegas strip from above.

End your final day with a show at Caesars Palace Colosseum. See the latest musician doing a season there. Big names grace the stage including Rod Stewart.
