Galvin Green Man

The Galvin Green Man is run by the two Galvin brothers who happen to be Michelin Star winners. This Sunday roast is slightly more expensive, however the roast is outstanding as its the building and decor. Enjoy your Sunday roast by the log fire and sample a glass or bottle of wine from the large collection donning the walls.

Acanteen

A casual roast in the heart of Chelmsford. Acanteen is the perfect spot for a great roast in a no frills restaurant. Acanteen has a great laid back vibe on a Sunday filled with people either eating roast dinners or all day brunches. This budget friendly option is one not to be missed. The laid back bar and lounge area is the perfect spot for a after lunch tipple under the twinkly fairy lights.

The Hub

The Hub Farm Shop is as the name suggests is a great farm shop with an attached bistro. The warm and cosy vibe allows for groups to come and dine in a relaxed atmosphere. The food is made from the farm shops produce and the Sunday roast is one of the best. Enjoy this for two, or try the bug group roast served in a huge tray for self service family style.

Located in the village of Terling on the outskirts of Chelmsford The Rayleigh Arms is a family run pub serving some great Sunday lunches. This pub offers gastro dinging experiences serving traditional British dishes and using local produce as much as possible.

Located in Chelmsford twinned with it’s sister businesses The Bakehouse and The Folly Bistro located next door, the Fox and Goose is a gastro pub at it’s best. The pub is more like a sit down restaurant and offers an excellent selection of Sunday roasts and as part of a 2 or 3 course menu.

Located on the edge of the river as the name suggests, Riverside Inn is a renovated 17th century mill in the heart of Chelmsford. In the summer months you can enjoy Sunday lunch on the picnic benches outside along the river. Inside the Sunday roasts are a good price and of good quality.
